அவரே தமிழர்! தமிழ் மேல் உள்ள ஆர்வம் ஒரு ஜெர்மானியரைத் தமிழராக மாற்றி இருக்கிறது. வயது 70ஐ கடந்து இருக்கும். அடர்ந்த புருவம். எடுத்து வாரிக் கட்டிய முடி. சடை போடவில்லை. நல்ல சிவப்பு நிறம். பார்த்தால் ஐரோப்பியர் என்று சொல்லிவிடலாம். இடம்: ஐராவதீஸ்வரர் கோயில், தாராசுரம். காலை 7.30 மணி, சனிக்கிழமை. தனியாக கோயிலில் வலம் வந்துகொண்டு இருந்தார். நான் தினமும் அங்கே நடைப்பயிற்சி மேற்கொள்வேன். அவர் தெய்வநாயகி அம்மன் உடன் உறை ஐராவதீஸ்வரர் சாமி கோயிலுக்குள் நுழைவதைக் கண்டேன். ஏதோ என்னுள் மனசு தவித்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தது. அது அவரை நோக்கி நடக்கச் செய்தது. கால்கள் நடந்தன. அவர் வெளிக் கோபுரத்தைப் பார்வையிட்டார். மெதுவாக நடந்தார். பிறகு பின்புறம் உள்ள விமானத்தைப் பார்த்து அதை கேமராவிற்குள் பதிவு பார்த்து ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார். பிறகு ஒவ்வொரு கற்சிற்பத்தை உற்று நோக்கி அங்கேயே மூன்று நிமிடங்களுக்கு மேல் நின்று பார்த்து, சிலாகித்து, உணர்ந்து, குறிப்புகளை எடுப்பது என்னை பெரிதும் ஆச்சரியத்திற்கு உள்ளாக்கியது. அவரிடம் மெதுவாக சென்று என்னை அறிமுகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டேன். அவர் ஆங்கிலத்தில் புரியும்படி பேசினார்; தன்னை ஒரு ஜெர...

Its #kapildev's birthday today and since there are so many new followers I wanted to share some stories. I like sharing feel good stories of people who always make me, and others feel good and Kapil Dev is one of them. For millions around the world, he is a living sports legend.
